I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
