The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
